Island Atmosphere

From William Golding's Lord of the Flies
                         An island of enchantment
still as it stood under the green roof of shady palm trees.
A great platform interrupts through the recognizing sand and lagoon.
It too stands enchanted under the caress of them criss-crossed coarse covered  palms. Them fruits and coconuts smothered the beach decomposed and contaminating.
The surreal and false creation was no more than fantasy of Ralph and Piggy.

Around surrounded the everblue cuticle of water and shined with replicas of the children. It made no mistake, bright with the efflorescence of tropical weed and coral.
